Re: Is it possible to create the same sounds as the Waldorf Microwave XT with solaris?
I could never agree with statements like that. Well, there are some characteristics that might be common for two or more synths. But from all my synths I can make sound for each that is unable to be made at another synth. And I am always exploring, what can be done outside from usual types of sound ...

Re: Developer Fund Update - Important!
Times are strange. Right now, due to you all know what, I lost all my income so I am running on idle. But I will contribute when things get better. Right now I would like to chime in on analog feel.
Sorry for my bad English to anyone. I will try to be as precise as I can.

Have any of you been to NAMM and can give report on new Solaris? Price? Features?
Cheers!

Hi John,
Any updates or time estimates about Mutable Instruments models implementations?
Cordially,

Re: "Smoothing" for WT scanning
Holy Cow! This is, how I fall into pit of own habits. I totally forgot about this options and arrogantly assumed I know this synth well. Right, so this one is out of table. Need to think about other sequencer proposition, if I have missed something.
Thank you, John!

Re: "Smoothing" for WT scanning
Thank You, John, for taking time to evaluate this idea and answer.
I haven't met any problems with switching waves mid cycle so I don't need zero crossing switching, but maybe others comment on this problem. As for me, I like artefacts in various forms, unless they sound like something's broken ...

Step controlled sequencer.
Sorry if I missed this, when looking for similar solution.
What I propose is sequencer mode that allows for modulation of position with envelope, LFO, whatever. This would make options like "Division" unnecessary, but I see a lot of potential in this solution. For example I could modulate sequencer ...

Re: "Smoothing" for WT scanning
Hi Everyone,
I need some input from potential beneficiaries.
I did some calculations and I think that scanning of wavetables is fascinating and very wide area of sound design. For example: I propose to add more functions modes for scanning. Not only discrete, but more than one continuous (morphing ...

Re: Developer Fund
I have communicated with Mutable Instruments, and we had a very good discussion. :-)
Holy Cow! I was mind storming this idea, to collect all pros, to post them here! Plaits alone would be a big game changer. If this happens, I am celebrating with choya and sushi!
To supplement: I would add 100 ...

Re: What power-adaptor for the Solaris?
Input is 100-240V. You need the output to be +12 volts at 2.5 Amps (or more...you could use 3.0 Amps as well).
Probably you are having a problem with the connector, because some of them on the market have smaller diameter plugs. The Solaris uses a 2.5mm x 5.5mm x 9.5mm connector.

This! Exactly what I needed recently. I assumed it will behave like this by default, but then discovered stepping and had to abandon my idea.

Re: Developer Fund
Since this thread started, I had been thinking a lot.
Before I bought my Solaris, I was looking at Prophet 12 and OB-6. Those two had possibility to give me hands on experience and sounds I needed. OB-6 in the front and P12 in the background. I had to chose one at the end of 2016 and maybe afford ...

John,

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas
Hi John!
Right now, in light of things discussed in "Developer Fund" thread, I think that for me it all depends how will be programming and multitimbrality made. Ideally would be to program 1U rack (or any other expansion - every other option could be programed in this way) from my Solaris, so I ...
