I built a patch in v1.3.1, then updated the Solaris to v1.4.4.
I read the post from @minorguy over in v1.4.3:

Minor bug report.
Updating from v1.3.1 to v1.4.4 after multiple tries.
The "hold down the Enter Button during startup" method did not bring up the installation menu as noted in the v1.4.2 (latest) manual.

Otherwise the Enter button itself works just fine.

However I did change the "doFlash" txt ...

I can get as far as creating a .raw formatted sample file, via Audacity or Amadeus Pro on OSX (10.12.6 at this writing).
However I can't figure out the sample length and by extension any loop points.
I'm only held up by the "sample length" variable here; the rest I can create by hand or guestimate ...
