Re: The Proper Instructions For Opening the SOLARIS
John, Thank you kindly. I am moving homes, dealing with Mom who passed away last week and a new studio setup. More to follow in a few weeks. Thanks!

Re: Developer Fund
Most companies charge for upgrades and updates especially for significant new features so I see that as very natural for the SOLARIS. I have not seen any updates here yet on this but will check in from time to time. If I had any free time I would do something but I have zero free time and the free ...

The Proper Instructions For Opening the SOLARIS
Hi,
A while back I had gotten the instructions on an old email address on the proper way to open the SOLARIS. Something that sounds like a loose screw or something is rolling around inside my unit - I have been renovating my studio. In any case, I lost the original instructions and while it looks ...

Re: Developer Fund
I will commit $1000.00 for the following - just send me a link - with these addons I get the equivalent of a whole new synthesiszer!
1) Filter Profiles to match Yamaha CS80 and GX1 coupled with some templates and representative patches.
2) FM Oscillator
3) uses the enveloge generator functions to ...

Re: Developer Fund
I still like to contribute top "software" extensions as that would be the most useful and I would be happy to pay.
It would be great to build-in some recallable templates for different synth workflows (I like the CS80 patch template but could have been nice to just have a bunch like these to clone ...

Re: Developer Fund *fairness*
For those who do not pay, charge for the "upgrade" a modest amount. This will determine who wants the upgrade and it will put money back into the process so the rest of us can benefit. Not everyone can pay upfront. But some can pay after its all done. I'm sure some of the things like FM synthesis ...

Re: Developer Fund
Hi John,
I can contribute via PayPal and happy to do so. I can do $1K to $2K. If someone wants to actually write some code for things that I want (like phase modulation / FM style oscillators), then I could even do $5K. It all depends on how much can I get of what I would like.
Let me know ...

RACKMOUNT SOLARIS REVISITED
I am wondering how many folks would buy a Solaris Rackmount (expander) version with note-overflow (to increase polyphony) and other things?
If there is a rackmount in the future, please count me in

Re: Modulus .002 + Solaris
I own both. Just started a Soundcloud - and will be updating more regularly.

Of course, in a mix, no-one can really tell which synth is which (well, maybe you can hear where the CS80 plays only because it has a weirdly distinctive filter). But most of my synths ...

Re: Boutique Synth Manufacture / SUNSYN / SOLARIS etc.
Having the SOLARIS for a year, A SUNSYN and also getting getting to compare it to a ROLAND and other keyboards.
Conclusion: The SOLARIS has its own sound and can mimic the othrs were well.
I am super happy I bought it.
Cheers

Re: Hi forum readers, Solaris owners and waiting listers
I waited a long time, relatively, to get a keyboard. While I was waiting, I bought a few other keyboards and played with them
The cool this is that after two years, when I got the SOLARIS, I was very happy that I got rid of the other two keyboards - so the wait had been well worth it. Music ...

Re: Current State of the Solaris OS and Ongoing Development
I am starting to look into the SOLARIS from a software coding point of view.
I notice a few things;
1) No other manufacturers, expect Symbolic Sound (Kyma/Pacarana) provides hardware with a software that is accessible. I am a registered owner of two Kyma systems but these are deep and not really ...
