OS 2.0.2 - Poly AT modulating incorrect parts
I found another poly AT issue that I hope I can describe clearly.
I have a 3-part sound:
- Part 3 in the lower range of the keyboard
- Part 2 in the middle range
- Part 1 in the upper range
- Both parts 1 & 2 are Poly AT modulated.
When I send Poly AT to Part 2 – it modulates any notes played in ...

OS 2.0.2 - Poly AT issue when part is transposed
Hi,
First off - I really starting digging into rel 2.0.2 - and it is awesome! I quickly set up a patch to have a bass synth pedal on the left, a string patch in the center, and a Moog lead on top using the arpeggiator. The new arpeggiator management tool is great.
Great job Jim and John!

OS 2.0 : EGReset = Running Issue
Hi - I am not sure if this is a bug and if this was an issue in previous OS versions.
To reproduce:
Play Mode = Poly
Legato = Reassign
EGReset = Running
Set the VCA EG to a slow attack and long release.
If you repeatedly play the same chord - the EG cuts the notes off and restarts.

Re: v2.0 OS Released!
Just installed V2.0.
First Multi I created was with one of my CS-80 Poly AT string patches with a Taurus bass patch for my left hand - very cool!
I then explored the new FM oscillators. Made an electric piano patch that made my DX7 jealous...

Re: AM/Ringmod help
Hi - you don't need to use an external synth to recreate ring mod sounds - only if you are trying to strictly create the monophonic response of re-triggering the CS-80 as in my examples. My example was something like Eddie Jobson from the band UK / album UK would do with his CS-80.

Re: AM/Ringmod help
thx for the feedback concerning the lfo's, would be grateful if someone could give a bit more info on how to create the lush ring-mod sounds settings wise (or share a patch and some instructions)

Re: Developer Fund Update - Important!
...The only thing I did not see on the list for me is a way to sync LFOs. This would be helpful to emulate mono LFOs like in the OBX, etc. Today the Solaris LFOs are all free running per voice.
John.
I'll add it to the list - thanks for the reminder.

Re: AM/Ringmod help
Was reading an article in SOS the other day on how modern synths reset their lfo’s upon note release or note on. Is this something that can be switched off on the Solaris ?
Yes! The Solaris has individual LFO's for each voice that can be set to free running or reset to a specific phase via ...

Re: AM/Ringmod help
I'm able to get convincing CS-80 type ring mod effects out of my Solaris - using the envelopes to modulate speed & depth. It sounds really cool and expressive. I forget the settings offhand - I'll have to check but it was fairly straight forward.
The only issue I remember having is that the CS-80 ...

Re: Developer Fund Update - Important!
Hi David,
I know you are interested in improving the sample loading for the Solaris. One of the bigger issues before I get someone like SampleRobot involved would be to have a new Sample Player object that could handle multisamples. At the time we first designed the Solaris, I didn’t want to give ...

Yes! I will definitely financially support the continued development of the Solaris!
Thanks again to Jim for all of his efforts! What a impact he has made on the development of the Solrais! I have made a donation to his paypal account.
