Latest Updates
New features coming in v2.2 Solaris OS
We are getting ready to release the next OS for the Solaris, v2.2. In addition to a few small bug fixes, this update adds several new features:
- Modulation Matrix Report – unlike most synthesizers on the market today that have a small number of modulation paths (typically 16-32 slots), the Solaris has over 100 modulation paths! Therefore, I did not feel it made sense to provide an active modulation matrix. What is new is the ability to visualize all connections being used in any preset by selecting the Mod Matrix report page. Here you can view all active mod paths by either Source or Destination. Then pressing the Enter button, you are taken to the highlighted mod path for final editing.
- Custom User Category names – you can now customize the User names for each Category, instead of the fixed User 1, User 2, etc.
- Key step through Parts – you can step through 2, 3, or 4 Parts with each successive key press.
- Send Arp and Send Sequencer options for MIDI are now Global as well.
- The Hold button function has been changed – it no longer duplicates the sustain pedal, but holds all notes played, and when you lift off the keys, new keys pressed will turn off previous notes and sustain the new ones.
